Jerusalem

It would be amazing to visit a city that is holy to the majority of people in this world. To walk were Jesus has walked, the Virgin Mary, Salomo and King David before them. I really need to go there one day.

Santa Maria de Montserrat is a Benedictine abbey located on the mountain of Montserrat, in Monistrol de Montserrat, in Catalonia. It hosts the Virgin of Montserrat, and the Publicacions de l’Abadia de Montserrat, a publishing house, one of the oldest presses in the world still running, with its first book published in 1499. I was here a few years ago and its so beautiful! When u are at the top of the mountain you become completely still, it’s so beautiful, like you’re in heaven.

It is places like this that turn someone religious. The most militant atheist will still feel the presence of a higher power when he enters such a beautiful building, and will feel small and insignificant, amazed by the sight of this grandeur, the atmosphere, everything… how can anyone hate Christianity, or religion in general, knowing that it has resulted in such amazing buildings?
